Adventure!
Elisabeth S.
Darkness. That’s all I felt as I tumbled down the long, winding tunnel. Where I was going, I didn’t know. What I was doing, I didn’t know. But a pull in my gut told me to throw myself into this tunnel- and whatever adventure awaited me behind it.
Run. Stop. Breathe. Repeat. Run. STOP. Breathe. Repeat. CRASH!
A blinding light flashed across my eyes, and I was momentarily flying. I must have tripped and fell through the ending of the tunnel. But now I was falling through a field. A beautiful field of lilacs and herbs. Tumbling, head over heels over head. BOOM! I had reached the end of my short fall.
As I looked up, my breathe caught short. Here I was, in a field of herbs and flowers, surrounded by towering pines, short oaks, and weeping willows. The sky was bluer than I had ever seen it before. Suddenly, I heard a soft noise. I careened around, and found myself face-to-face with a surprised, openmouthed girl.
“My garden….” she whispered. In my confused daze, I didn’t understand what she was talking about. Then, as if realization had hit me across the face, I realized I was standing in the middle of a very VERY large garden. To my right, there was a huge section of trampled herbs, crushed flowers, and broken branches. Probably me. Oops.
